About REFAP

Professional Services. Mining Services. Facility Services.

who we are

REFAP was established in 2010 to help more Aboriginal people gain skilled long-term employment in Pilbara workplaces. We support organisations engaging in Aboriginal recruitment programs and those establishing business ventures with Aboriginal Organisations.

REFAP’s founder and CEO Triscilla Holborow is a Traditional Owner from the Yaburara and Yindjibarndi tribes. Triscilla leads REFAP with a competitive advantage, having experienced firsthand the challenges that Aboriginal people face in the workplace and where organisations fail when trying to set up successful strategies for Aboriginal people.

REFAP Services

The REFAP business model was designed to support the employment needs of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the community, while meeting market demand.

There are more than 700 unemployed people living within our community. A significantly large proportion of that population is represented by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people that are welfare dependent.

The employment barriers that our people face are caused by poverty, licensing (loss of license or never held a license), numeracy and literacy challenges and inexperience within the resources industry.
