REFAP displays its support for the City of Karratha
REFAP’s workshop activity participants have built and donated two easels to the City of Karratha, for use in the Karratha Library.
The library expressed interest in purchasing a number of easels to display artwork in their foyer space, however REFAP decided to build and supply the items at no charge.
REFAP supervisor, Brad Harris, said it was a good opportunity for the manual arts activity participants to learn new skills.
“Three of our participants worked on the height-adjustable easels,” Brad said.
“It was the first time they had made easels – we designed them from pictures given to us by the library,” he said.
City of Karratha Mayor, Peter Long, acknowledged REFAP’s contribution.
“Everyone at Karratha Library greatly appreciates REFAP’s donation of two easels,” he said.
“They will be used at the library to regularly exhibit the works of our talented local artists.”
